4.5.2.1 Vibration. Mount the cartridge (see TABLE 111) into a fixture
to simulate its service installation. The cartridge shall be conditioned
at room temperature for a minimum period of one hour prior to conducting
the resonance survey. Vibrate one third of the sample cartridges along
each axis (see FIGURE 1) for a total of nine hours (3.4.1 and TABLE I)
in accordance with the requirements of Method 514, MIL-STD-810.
4.5.2.2 Shock. Mount the sample cartridge, at room temperature, into a
fixture to simulate its service installation. Apply prescribed shock so
that a minimum of 90 percent of the table input to the fixture will be
applied to the cartridge under test. Subject the cartridge to the shock
listed in TABLE IV, as specified in Method 516, MIL-STD-810.

4.5.2.3 Temperature cycling. The cartridge, preserved and packaged in
accordance with 5.1.1, shall be placed in a temperature controlled
chamber and subjected to the following temperature cycle:
(a) Cool to minus 45 plus 5 minus 0°F within 30 minutes
(b) Maintain at minus 45 plus 5 minus O°F for four hours
